Union Township
The Township of Union is located in north-central Union County, just 20 miles west of Manhattan. Interesting Fact:
In 1961, a Newark group called the Four Lovers failed an audition at a cocktail lounge at a bowling alley in Union. The group decided to adopt the name of the bowling alley: the Four Seasons. Led by Frankie Valli, the Four Seasons were inducted into the Rock 'n' Roll Hall of Fame in 1990 and inspired the Broadway play "Jersey Boys." In 2008, West Chestnut Street in Union was renamed Four Seasons Lane.
