Winter Walk at Taylor Park in Millburn / Short Hills
Millburn / Short Hills “Winter Walk” is getting bigger and better every year!
The Gosselin Group at Prominent Properties Sotheby’s International was thrilled to be an annual sponsor of the Winter Walk for the past 2 years! This 60-day holiday light display at Taylor Park in Downtown Millburn is organized to bring residents and visitors in from surrounding towns to enjoy the festive holiday lights and all that downtown has to offer.
The official Winter Walk lighting ceremony is usually held on #SmallBusinessSaturday after Thanksgiving in Taylor Park. This festive winter atmosphere helps kick off the holiday season with twinkling lights taking you through a wonderland of handmade snowflakes. The trees along the path and bridge to main street are all lit up and an enormous 8-foot polar bear (a crowd favorite) is the perfect setting for family photos.
Come visit the park from sunset to 10 pm every day from November 24 through January 24 to see the beautiful holiday lights!
2018 Winter Walk
This year’s festivities included an inaugural Snowflake Stroll! Members of local organizations including the Boy and Girl Scout Troops and Millburn's fire department, police department, and first aid squad all took part. The Grinch got in on the fun playing MC and throwing fake snowballs into the crowd. The music stage was set up in front of the Bauer Recreation Center in the park and musical performances kept the crowd entertained as the sun set. These included the Paper Mill Playhouse Broadway Show Choir, the Summit Medical Group Foundation Broadway Performers, Soulfege A Cappella, the Millburn High School Eukelele Club, and other talented local residents.
Once it was dark, Millburn Chamber President Stephanie Murphy flipped the switch to turn the lights on throughout the park! Truly magical!
The Winter Walk has been made possible through the generosity of local businesses, property owners, DMDA, Millburn Township,
and local residents under the auspices of the Chamber of Commerce.
